Round and around and around. When you're in need of printed material, you don't want to chase your tail when setting up your artwork. Our Round and Oval templates are set up to make your life easier and create an accurate base for your artwork.
About the round & oval templates
We have now created Indesign round & oval templates containing our 'formecut/knife' files. The 'formecut/knife' file has been set-up on the locked “Template_Layer” layer of the Indesign file. All you have to do is place your pdf file on the “File Layer” and create a new pdf file. The new file will include the 'formecut/knife'.
Template colour
We have set all our 'knife' lines up so that they are in Pantone colour '072' and the colour name (or swatch name) is titled 'knife'. It is important that this remains unchanged.
About the 'formecut/knife' file
The 'formecut/knife' file on the “Template_Layer” is an indicator of where the forme will cut out your job. Please do not alter this file as it represents a pre-made formecut.
Bleed
Ensure that you have a 3mm (minimum) of bleed where colour goes up to the edge (trim line).
Ordering
It is important for us to know which Dashing Print's round or oval knife you are using. When ordering, please refer to the number that is on the PDF file name so that we can match up that knife with your print job.i.e.: ST1R30.pdf or ST8OV35x75mm.pdf
Additional Charge
You are free to download the templates below, however, there would be an additional charge for formecutting either the round or oval shapes. The round templates shown here are NOT the same as Dashing Print's 'standard' drill hole. As they are processed differently to the 'standard' hole drilling, there will be additional charges for formecutting a round/circle.
